By this week I had the primary
rough draft of my paper completed. This version had all the text but none of
the images or charts. It was based on my original outline, but with changes in
how I approached topics covered in my survey.
When I was writing it, the flow of
my paper in the center did not feel right. I originally had my outline start
that section with how secure people felt about malware, then what they did
about it. But my rough draft switched those two topics around.
Once that draft was completed, I began
working on my presentation. This started with creating a flow based on my paper.
A challenge with this was selecting what information to keep and what to drop.
I thought had to do this, because if I covered every detail of content, I would
run over 20 minutes. However, in the end I kept more info than I thought I did,
though this issue would arise again with my publication.
